ABOUT RICHIE
Richie Edmonds is a Baton Rouge businessman and a dedicated leader in the community. He is a conservative Republican running for Louisiana House of Representatives, District 66. For over a decade he has worked to grow his Baton Rouge-based company, Vertical Construction. In addition, he is a licensed contractor with the Louisiana State Board of Contractors and a licensed real estate agent with Dawson Grey Real Estate Broker.
Richie has a true passion to serve which has motivated him to follow in his father’s footsteps. He currently serves as the elected member of Louisiana’s Senate District 14-C Republican State Central Committee, the elected member of District 3 East Baton Rouge Republican Party, a Member of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of REALTORS, Chairman of the 2023 JDRF “Fund A Cure Imagine Gala,” Board of Director member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for the Southern States Chapter, volunteer Baseball Coach at Traction “Canes” Baseball Academy, and a volunteer Middle School Basketball Coach at Parkview Baptist School. Previously, Richie served as a member of the Governmental Relations Committee for GBRAR, was elected as a delegate for the Republican Party in both the 2004 and 2008 elections, and was elected the President of the Shenandoah Square Homeowners Association in 2004.
In 1988, Richie’s parents relocated to Baton Rouge where he graduated from Parkview Baptist High School and Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree along with several minors. Richie is married to his best friend of 23 years, Holly Lively Edmonds who is a local Physician Assistant (PA-C). Both are active members of Healing Place Church. Together, they have been blessed with three beautiful children: Sullivan, Ramsey, and Stella who all attend Parkview Baptist School.
